2018 MAINEIAX GIRLS PROGRAMS
Looking to take your game to the next level or are you just starting the game? Either way, we offer programs all year that will help you develop into a more complete lacrosse player. Maineiax takes great pride in giving you some of the best coaching in Maine with multiple college coaches, elite high school coaches, and college players on staff to help you grow your game all fall and winter. Players within each program will be grouped by age and skill level. We promote a fun and positive learning environment while helping you get ready for your spring school season.
- Maineiax does not prorate the cost for a missed practice or for not being able to participate in a full program.
- Maineiax reserves the right to change a program at any point or move players to a different program during the session based on skill level and/or attendance numbers.
- US Lacrosse membership is required for all players for insurance and liability purposes, no exceptions.
SKILLS & DRILLS
@ the MAC in Portland (2nd-12th grades)
Our Skills & Drills program is for players to work on improving their fundamentals in the off-season. The focus will be on improving players stick work by working on both hands with lots of reps and individual feedback. Players will also work on effective dodging, competitive ground balls & 50/50’s, creative shooting, defensive positioning and footwork, goalie positioning and more. All skill levels are welcome. LACROSSE ACADEMY & XTREME - PORTLAND
@ the MAC (6th-12th grades)
Our Lacrosse Academy is one of our most popular programs! This program is designed to help you improve the most important parts of your game: speed training, stick skills, and game awareness! Players will spend the hour rotating through three stations to work on stick work routines, speed and agility and participating in live games on the field. It is an exciting hour of lacrosse to help improve your overall game and fitness! Players will be grouped by age and skill level.

BRICK WALL ACADEMY - SACO
@ The OA Sports Center (15 Lund Road, Saco)
Our 6-week Lacrosse Academy in Saco is designed to help you improve your strength and speed with professionals while enhancing your stick skills with our coaches! Players will spend the first hour at the Parisi Speed School, working on footwork and increasing speed! Then players will move over to the enhanced wall at the Hitters Count to work on new stick work routines to help improve their overall game! This program is limited to 25 players due to space; only paid players have a spot! For more information, click here.
Sundays in February & March (6th-12th grades)
@ the MAC (indoor) and Bates College (outdoor)
Our most popular program of the year! 8 weeks of strict league play designed to get you ready for the spring season! Players will be assigned to a country team for the duration of the program. Each team will play one 45 minute game each Sunday with a referee (high school teams will have one bye week.) Playoffs will be the last Sunday to determine winners! 1st, 2nd & 3rd place teams will be named with the winner being given the World Cup Trophy! This program is limited to 10 high school teams and 6 middle school teams so first come, first serve. Players must be registered and paid in full in order to reserve their roster spot. @ the MAC in Portland (9th-12th grades)
Our Winter League is a weekly pick up game where players will play a full field live pick up game for 60 minutes. Players should arrive early to stretch on own and be ready to play! This program is designed to help get players stick and stamina in top shape in the off season and before the spring season. The hour includes playing a live game with high-intensity reps, lots of touches with the ball and fast-paced action on the field while also working on speed, stick skills, and game awareness. Elite high school players, college players and post graduate players are welcome to join. This is a pick up game so teams will be at random each week with no coaching. Games will have an official each week who will randomly select the teams and we’ll play 2019 HS rules!

SUMMER & FALL TRAVEL TEAMS
@ Deering High School in Portland (5th-12th grades)
The Maineiax travel program gives players an opportunity to play at some of the nation’s top events and to learn from some of the best coaches in the area (college and high school coaches). This format gives players the opportunity to train, practice, and play at the next level, while having as much fun as possible. For more information, click here.
